Flame retardant workwear for women
Tranemo has made significant investments in the development of flame retardant workwear specifically tailored for women, focusing on their unique needs and working conditions. Our tailored solutions are designed to ensure that every female worker can feel secure in her workplace.
We recognize that an increasing number of women are working in previously male-dominated areas. We also understand that most strive for a more gender-equal workplace. We believe that all professionals should have the right conditions for a safe workplace, which is why we offer the market's widest and most carefully considered collection of flame retardant workwear in women's sizes.
SAFETY FIRST - AND FIT
The primary purpose of flame retardant clothing is to prevent injuries. Comfort and ergonomic issues are often cited reasons for improper use of protective clothing, such as not wearing the garments correctly or not wearing them at all. The fit of workwear is incredibly important, both to allow for free and comfortable movement and, above all, to avoid unnecessary risks. Ill-fitting garments can be cumbersome and cause distractions or increase the risk of getting caught on something.
The biggest demand from women who are required to wear protective clothing at work is a good fit. By meeting this demand, we can ensure that our female users are provided with the right level of protection.
When we produce our garments, we start from standardized measurement lists. We proceed from the protection needs and the tasks the user has. The garment is then processed with various additions of range of motion and fit.
For example:
Our stretch trousers are not "skinny fit", they are slightly tighter than normal fit. You should still be able to use knee protector and carry out your work tasks.
Our winter jackets are roomy because the user often wants to wear one or two layers underneath, and there has to be enough room under the jacket.
In metallurgy, we have "loose fit" for the air to help against the radiant heat.
We also develop unique solutions where protective garments are lacking. One of our remarkable advancements, for example, is our Flame Retardant bra for breast prosthesis. Another unique product is our FR head scarf, FR bra, FR sports bra, FR tank top with built-in breast support and our FR maternity pants in several different collections. Of cause we also have FR maternity underwear.

Why is fit important when you should buy flame retardant workwear?
Fit is always crucial when purchasing flame-retardant workwear for several reasons, such as:
Safety
Properly fitted Flame Retardant workwear ensures that the protective garment covers the body appropriately, reducing the risk of exposure to flames or heat, potentially causing injury.
Mobility
Workwear that fits well allows for ease of movement, enabling the wearer to perform their tasks efficiently and safely. Ill-fitting garments may restrict movement, leading to discomfort or hindrance in performing job duties, which could pose additional safety hazards.
Comfort
Comfortable workwear encourages compliance with safety regulations. If the clothing is uncomfortable or ill-fitting, workers may be tempted to remove or adjust it, compromising their safety. The safest protective garment is the one you wear with comfort every day.
Sustainability
Properly fitting workwear is less likely to suffer from wear and tear, as it experiences less strain during movement or work activities. This ensures that the garment remain effective over time, providing long-term protection for the wearer.
Appearance
Well-fitting workwear presents a professional appearance, instilling confidence in both the wearer and those around them. This can contribute to a positive work environment and promote adherence to safety protocols.
Challenges of women's sizes and fit
Tackling the challenges of women's sizes and fits arises from the extensive diversity among women's bodies. For example, in the case of jackets, they need to accommodate different body types, including tall, short, curvy, slender, small-busted, and large-busted individuals, all within the conventional size system of S-M-L.

In addressing pant sizing, we acknowledge the common challenge posed by length variations. As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive solutions, we offer both standard women's sizes and have recently introduced tall women's sizes, demonstrating our expertise in catering to diverse needs.
Thanks to our close collaboration with customers, coupled with our extensive expertise in the field, at Tranemo, we address these challengesto guarantee that our garments meet the most rigorous standards of fit and performance.
When it comes to women's clothing, the objective is to adopt the same model as we have for men. While women's apparel generally yields lower sales than men's, we are fortunate to have several key clients who prioritize gender equality in their workplaces and have a substantial female demographic. This has enabled us to broaden our range further, striving towards gender equality between our men's and women's collections.
Overall, ensuring a proper fit when purchasing Flame Retardant workwear is essential for maximizing safety, comfort, and sustainability in hazardous work environments for all.
Size women’s Flame Retardant workwear
Ensuring the right size for protective clothing is crucial for both safety and comfort. Measure directly over your underwear for accuracy. Key measurements include chest, shoulder, hips, inside leg length and sleeve.
Measure correctly for the right size
Chest
Measure at the fullest part of the chest, right under the armpits and across the nipples for the most accurate measurement.
Waist
Measure your waist at the narrowest point. If you want to know what size to choose for bottoms, go by your hip measurement first of all. Waist measurement is secondary.
Hips
Measure around your hips at the widest point, which is roughly 20 cm below your waist.
Shoulder sleeve
Measure the armlength with arm slightly bent. Start at the neck to the wrist.
Inside leg length
Inside leg length is measured from the crotch down to the floor.
